Padel is a highly sociable and inclusive racquet sport, which is a mix of tennis and squash. Usually played in doubles, padel is easy to learn and is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. The sport requires a court which has a net across the middle, like tennis, but which is enclosed by walls on all sides, like squash. Due to its popularity, the demand for courts outstrips supply and the Padel Centre proposed here would be the first purpose-built centre solely dedicated to the sport in Worksop.
